Finding the right Telephone Company

Here is a list of links to pages comparing long distance telephone services. Most of these sites contain long distance search engines that you can enter your area code and prefix into and they will give you a list of long distance telephone companies from the chaepest to the most expensive. I will continue to ad links to phone company websites as I find them. If you would like to see how AT&T, MCI Worlcom, Opex, Power Net Global (PNG) and Unitel compare, here is a Quick Comparison I found.

Take a look at AT&T, MCI, Qwest and Sprint's long distance pricing. I don't think you should buy their services, but you should at least know what they are charging so you know how much you are saving with the long distance calling plan providers that you will find on the right.

The Big Four Long Distance Companies. Please pay particular attention to these questions.

  1. Do they pay your switching fees?
  2. Do they bill by the minute or every six seconds
(6 second billing can save you 40%)?
  3. Is there a monthly fee for the long distance plan?
  4. Does the calling plan have limited hours?
